WAYS TO SERVE

Serving Groups provide environments where you can form lasting friendships and be encouraged in your faith–no matter where you are in your relationship with God.  New Life offers many different ways to serve, but all share a common goal: to help you in your journey on the pathway of new life in Jesus:

SERVING GROUPS

These Small Groups for adults allow you to minister to, or serve, others. To participate in most of these groups, your must complete a Volunteer Application and be willing to take part in some form of training. When and how often members of a Serving Group serve vary from group to group.  If you’d like more information, or are interested in a particular Serving Group, click here and we’ll get back to you.

CARE GROUPS

Care Groups demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus to others in the New Life Family.

  • Crisis Care provides resources and case management to qualified members of the New Life Family experiencing serious and/or ongoing personal issues or circumstances.

  • Funeral Meals preps and serves funeral meals for families who have lost a loved one.

  • Feed the Need provides meals—either homemade or takeout–to families following the birth, adoption, or fostering of a child.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY WORSHIP TEAM

The purpose of this group is to bring, through worship, the Manifest Presence of God to people who attend Celebrate Recovery. Open to adult musicians who can follow a set tempo and possess a heart for those who struggle with life. Singers must be able to sing in pitch, and instrumentalists must possess a basic level of skill on their instrument. Practices at 5 pm every Tuesday night in the Sanctuary, with worship at 7 pm.

COMMUNION SERVERS

Adult and youth volunteers prepare and serve Communion to the congregation.

FRONT DOOR

These five groups work together to present a positive first impression to Guests and Newcomers to New Life, and to keep everyone safe while they’re at church.

  • Children’s Registration is perfect for adults or high school students who have basic computer skills, like to interact with people, and are committed to making sure kids are safe when they’re at New Life.

  • Hospitality is a great way to engage with people, either by serving coffee and donuts to Newcomers on Sundays, serving breakfast to the Worship Team, or helping with special events.

  • Medics On Duty provide basic first aid to people who are injured or become ill while at New Life. MOD is open to anyone who is first-aid and CPR-certified.

  • Safety Patrol members welcome kids and parents at the entrance of the Children’s Wing, monitor badges to keep them safe, and assist teachers who need a helping hand during classes. Ideal for people who want to be a friend to children and keep them safe.

  • Ushers work as a team to welcome and assist Newcomers, as well as to keep people safe while they’re on the New Life Campus.

ROYAL RANGERS’ & GIRLS MINISTRY ADULT LEADERS

Leaders age 18+ invest in the lives of boys and girls, respectively, to help them learn about Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him. Groups for children ages 2 through high school meet Wednesday evenings during New Life’s Fall and Spring semesters.

SUNDAY CHILDREN’S MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS

Teachers and helpers have the opportunity to express the love of God and model serving to the youngest members of the New Life Family, as well as to connect in community with other teachers and helpers. Volunteers serve for one service, four months per year on a rotating basis: one month on; two months off. All volunteers working with children must have attended New Life for at least six months prior to serving, and involvement is by invitation only.

PRODUCTION TEAM

Volunteers handle live sound, multimedia, and video production support at New Life.

Membership in two Small Groups is by invitation and/or audition only: New Life Worship Team & Sunday Morning Announcers.
