If we want kids to be part of our Church when they grow out of our programming, we need to move them to
BE THE CHURCH. At Discovery Town @ New Life, we strive to engage kids in a way that's not just fun and entertaining, but with a purpose. For this reason, our kids (Pre-K through Middle School) stay with their parents during the Worship portion of our service. Our kids aren't the Church of the future, but the Church of today.

Frequently asked questions.

How do I check my child into Discovery Town?

On your first visit, head to Discovery Town Children's Registration just off the foyer. You will be welcomed by a volunteer eager to meet your family and show you how Discovery Town works. To check your child in, we'll need some information. including a family members name, your child's name, grade, and birthday, your address, your phone number, and any special instructions. This takes a little time, so try to arrive a little early. You will be given a name tag sticker and a security tag.
Our goal is to make this process as safe and simple as possible! We will be there every step of the way, so feel free to ask questions.

How do you ensure my child is safe?

In Discovery Town, safety is one of our highest priorities. Upon check-in, you'll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear their name tag sticker and you will need to keep the matching tag. Our registration volunteers print a room roster sheet for each class so they can take attendance. If your child decides not to go to class after being checked in, please return their name tag to the registration desk so they can be removed from the roster.
After service, you will need to show your matching sticker at the classroom door for your child to be released to you. Every Discovery Town volunteer is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training.

What if my child needs me during class?

If there is an illness, emergency, etc... your security badge number will be flashed on the screen in the sanctuary. You will then head to the Children's Registration area and they will bring your child to you.

What will my child learn in Discovery Town?

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written, and we strive to bring the stories to life through creative activities and discussions that keep kids engaged. We want every child to learn how to Be the Church by understanding God's Word and applying it to their life, not just be entertained. We know they'll have fun each week as they learn about who God is through games, activities, small groups, and video teaching.
